We’re heading into the holiday season. There’s going to be lots and lots of up close and personal family time going down. In honor of this, I’m giving you the perfect escape –– Mr David Sedaris. I read this several years ago, and this was my comment to book buddies at the time — it still fits.

Ha! Ha! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

I’ve had this book in my pile for a couple of years, and finally picked it up, and frankly, am ticked something this hilarious was in my house for this long without me knowing it! Thanks to my dear friend Beth for mentioning it as one of her faves—inspiring me to read it for once and for all. Sedaris is a master storyteller, and I can’t tell you how many times I laughed out loud, practically snorting. I can’t really tell you what it is about, because it’s not really about anything – just anecdotes from Sedaris’ life — family, work, friends, drugs, jobs, moves, etc. If you need a good laugh, this will not disappoint.
