A book store dies, we get great commentary

Have you ever found yourself caught up in the comment strand of what at first glance appears to be a pretty innocuous story?

Try this one: it’s at Boing Boing—all about a rather bitter Borders employee and his or her visual rant at the close of business. My first reaction was one of, “Really? That’s how you feel about the customer? It’s no small wonder you didn’t close up shop sooner.” But read the comments. There’s some pretty astute commentary going on. At the close, I still feel as if the employee in question has got a heaping dose of bitter going on, but given what they dealt with on a daily basis, that’s no small wonder, either.

Also, I had to laugh at the Nicholas Sparks reference. The employee had me at hello on that one.
